"I had worked with Laurie on multiple commercial projects (ChefStable) when I asked her to design my home. In that this was the house we planned to live in the rest of our life, the project had an additional emotional gravitas that my commercial projects never had. I had ideas of finding a common ground between La Maison en Verre in Paris and contemporary architecture from the Pacific Northwest which was, to say the least, a lofty design objective. Laurie was wonderful to work with on this project because she is a natural collaborator. She worked incredibly hard to implement the ideas I had while reminding me of architectural goals that we should look to achieve for the project above and beyond my design goals. Her involvement and guidance ended up delivering a much more beautiful, functional and livable home than I ever imagined."
